Prof. Dr. Dieter Hess
Prof. Dr. Dieter Hess is Full Professor of Corporate Finance at the University of Cologne. He studied Economics and Finance at the University of Augsburg. After receiving his Doctoral Degree in Finance from the University of Konstanz he worked at the Centre of Finance and Econometrics and visited New York University, Stern School of Business as a research fellow, and gave lectures at the Universities of Ulm and Karlsruhe. In 2003 he joined the Management School of Banking and Finance in Frankfurt and in 2004 the University of Cologne. His research interests include empirical and theoretical finance with special emphasis on term structure modelling, information processing in financial markets, and risk forecasts.
His current research focuses on various aspects of corporate valuation and corporate financing policies.
Professor Hess regularly presents his research at academic conferences. He has been published in internationally renowned Journals such as the Journal of Empirical Finance, the European Finance Review, the Journal of Futures Markets, and the European Journal of Finance.
