Erik Theissen is, since 2009, Full Professor of Business Management focussing on Finance at the University Mannheim. He received his doctoral degree in 1997 in Business Management from the University of Frankfurt (Main) and also habilitated there in 2001. Temporary Research Visits brought him to the Groupe HEC (Jouy-en-Josas, France) and the University of Thammasat (Bangkok). In his research, he focuses on empirical and experimental studies of financial market microstructures, corporate finance and empirical capital market studies in general. He publishes in internationally renowned Journals such as the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Empirical Finance, the Journal of Financial Markets, the European Finance Review and others.
