Sebastian Weibels has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Econometrics and Statistics at the University of Cologne since August 2023. Previously, he worked at the Department of Bank Management at the University of Cologne. He completed his master's degree in Finance at the University of Cologne, including a semester abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He gained practical experience at AXA Group in bank management and risk management. His research focuses on the intersection of machine learning and finance, with particular emphasis on portfolio optimization, asset management, and behavioral economics.
