Matthias Schellenberg
Matthias Schellenberg, born on September 21, 1964, holds a degree in business administration from the University of Cologne. In 1994 he started his career at KPMG Deutschland, an auditing and consulting firm, working in Frankfurt and New York. He subsequently held management positions in investment banking and asset management at Commerz Financial Products, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Zurich Capital Markets and Pioneer Investments. From 2006 onwards, Schellenberg built up the German branch of ING Investment Management before heading up business development in Europe and Latin America from 2008 to 2012. Between 2013 and 2016, he was a member of the Management Board of UBS Germany AG, being responsible for Asset Management and Compliance. He was subsequently CEO of Merck Finck Privatbankiers AG from 2017 to 2020 and in this role was also a member of the Global Management Team of KBL - European Private Bankers. Matthias Schellenberg has been CEO of apoBank since March 1, 2022.
