Hannah Winterberg is an Assistant Professor of Banking at the University of Cologne and a member of the Centre for Financial Research (CFR). Her research focuses on banking and financial market structures in the euro area and covers topics such as firm financing decisions, funding markets and the impact of monetary policy. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Review of International Economics, and has been presented at major international conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the American Economic Association and numerous finance and macro finance conferences. Hannah received her Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (summa cum laude). During her doctoral studies, she was a Doc.Mobility Fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation at the University of Maryland. Her professional experience includes work as an Economist in the Money and Capital Markets as well as European Department of the International Monetary Fund, where she contributed to research and policy analysis on monetary and financial topics.
